Jackson Hole Injustice Jackson Hole Injustice

We don’t excuse wrong or deny that our son Conley and his friend Ollie were killed by a drunk driver.  We are not excusing those whom we believe know the truth about what happened that night and the days that followed.  At this point in our lives we find it necessary to let the residents of Jackson Hole know that we have forgiven them for their involvement in the untimely death of these two young men.  Years of bitterness, anger, rage and helplessness have been replaced with forgiveness, love and compassion for those directly involved and those who know the truth but refused to come forward.  Anger, bitterness, and hate often consume our very souls when we find ourselves helpless in a society where wrong is allowed to be right and where justice is replaced with injustice because of who you are or where you live!  It is time for us to free ourselves from these emotions that have consumed our lives for many years.  We now make a choice to have forgiving hearts for those who wrongfully took the life of Conley and Ollie and for those who stood by and did nothing.  Grieving is a lifelong process and forgiveness if part of the healing that needs to take place if we are to find peace and rest for our souls.  We may never know this side of eternity what really happened but our Creator knows.

Ro 12:19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord.
