All four occupants of the Yearsley Construction Company Chevy pickup, walked
away from the collision with mostly minor injuries. David Yearsley, Darrell
Beck, Wendi Yearsley (Phelps), Heidi Anderson
Why was the Yearsley vehicle almost immediately taken to another state, two
hundred miles away, and never again made available to other, impartial,
reconstructionists. Is this normal procedure? What's to hide? Curious...
There is conflicting evidence as to whether this collision was head on or a
collision from the side, perpendicular, termed, "L configuration". The
reconstructionist, John Daily, determined that the vehicles did indeed
collide in an L configuration. This means that he bronco was hit on the
passenger's side. Mr. Daily concluded that the impact on the bronco was at
the wheel well or just behind. We are uncertain as to how he came to this
conclusion. John Daily's credentials are many and has written several books
on vehicle accident reconstruction, and has had extensive training in this
area but it appears he missed this one. Why?
Photo 1 and photo 2 shows what appears to be blood on the front bumper of
the Chevy. We have speculated that there was a possibility that Conley and
Ollie may not have been in their vehicle at all. The bodies were found quite
a distance from the collision site. A deer was also found nearby. Conley and
Ollie may have stopped and got out of the car for this reason.
This article
verifies our suspicions that this area has the highest number of wildlife
vehicle collisions in the area. 330 since 1990 from skyline down to browns
curve.
There was no blood found in the Bronco at ALL.
An informant said that Yearsley told him the Bronco was sitting still when
they hit it.
Why were all of Conley & Ollie's clothes destroyed by coroner Bob Cambell?
This is certainly interesting. Why would they be destroyed? Is it customary
to destroy a victim's belongings.
Local authorities performed practically no investigation into the collision,
we will never know.
Photo 3 This photo shows the Chevy's steering wheel.
Darrell Beck was found
pinned behind the steering wheel, but because the other passengers told
Officer Delane Baldwin that David Yearsley's was driving, that's how the
official report was written. They took the word of the drinking occupants
and left it at that. Even Darrell Beck's injuries are consistent with him
being the driver.
Again, there was no investigation into the collision by local authorities.
Only the occupants of the Yearsley vehicle know, and they are not talking.
Photo 4 shows the windshield on the passenger side of the Chevy pickup,
which contains hair lodged in the glass. The local authorities concluded
that this was Darrell Beck's hair. But as we mentioned earlier, Darrell Beck
was wedged behind the steering wheel. This hair appears to be quit long and
possibly from a female. Wendy Yearsley had facial lacerations consistent
with having hit the windshield. Darrell Beck's hair is short and curly not
long and straight as is Wendy Yearsley's. Darrell Beck's injuries are
consistent with having been behind the wheel. of the Chevy pickup. Traumatic pancreatitis has often been a resulting injury from a car accident where the
driver hits the steering wheel. This is a fact.
The only two occupants in the Yearsley vehicle where injuries included head
trauma or facial lacerations, signs of hitting the windshield, were Darrell
Beck & Wendy Yearsley (phelps). There are two locations on the windshield
where someone hit and caused damage. Passenger side and Driver's side. This
is known from the photos. If Wendy Yearsley (phelps) wasn't driving and was
on the passenger's side then were does that put Darrell Beck?
Photo 5 shows the windshield on the driver's side of the Chevy pickup.
Authorities stated that David Yearsley was driving at the time of the
collision. David Yearsley had no head trauma, facial lacerations or any
signs of hitting the windshield. On the other hand, Darrell Beck had many
facial lacerations. Authorities say Darrell Beck hit the windshield on the
passenger side. Now, this could all be cleared up by testing the hair sample
taken from the photo above and having this evidence analyzed. Did
authorities do this? No, they took the word of the occupants of the vehicle
over the evidence.
Photo 6 shows the windshield from the driver's side of the Chevy
pickup. This damage could cause the facial injuries Darrell Beck
suffered causing over 300 stiches.
Photo 7 shows the Chevy's driver's side door. There is nothing wrong with
this door at all. Wayne Williams stated that when he and his wife Cindy
arrived, David Yearsley was out of the vehicle standing at the tailgate of
the pickup. Now this is extremely important. Wayne states "seeing at least
two people in the front seat of the truck as he passed by the driver's side
window ". So if David Yearsley was driving, what was he doing at the
tailgate? It seems, from Wayne Williams statement, that the driver's side
door was closed when he passed by it because he was looking through the
window. Why would David Yearsley shut the door on his friends in a collision
and walk to the rear of the vehicle?
The rear window of the extended cab was broken out from the snow mobile
which, was in the bed of the pickup. Could David Yearsley have crawled out
this window? If he wasn't driving he could have. There are EMT statements
that say they believe someone climbed out the extended cab window.
Speculation of course but a very plausible theory.
Photo 8 shows the Chevy's back seat. This speaks for itself. They were
hurrying back to town from the Yearsley's Christmas party to continue the
party at the Rancher Bar. They had been drinking most of the night. There is
no sign of Alcohol on Ollie Sutherland or Conley Lane. There is no proof at
all with the exception of the BAC results authorities mishandled which we
know.
Sergeant Daily's report includes conclusions of highway patrolmen who
compiled their reports on conjecture, assumptions, opinions and theories of
bystanders, intoxicated accident victims, and the statements of Yearsley's
friends, family, and employees who arrived on the scene minutes later? Is it
significant that the conclusions of these officers varies substantially from
Sergeant Daily's regarding factors contributing to the cause of the
accident? Is there any possibility that Sergeant Daily framed his findings
to coordinate with your witness protection efforts on behalf of Mr. Beck and
Ms. Willard, Wendy Yearsley (Phelps) sister?
Maybe Steve Weichman can answer that question?
Accident reconstructionist, Sergeant John Daily, knew the Yearsley family
and associated with them socially. Does this strike you as a potentially
problematic from a perspective of bias? Should we be bothered by the fact
that Sergeant Daily was a paid member of the Teton County law enforcement
system who was simultaneously hired as a consultant by David Yearsley's
insurance company to determine whom was at fault in the accident? Isn't this
a conflict in interest?
Did you know that Sergeant John Daily refused to sign his deposition?? He
also mysteriously lost his official accident reconstruction report on this
event. Protect his @#?!% in case things went south.
Interesting enough, John Daily didn't visit the collision site until
sometime after the 14th of December and before the 17th. The collision
occurred on the night of the 11th. John Daily did not take any photo's nor
did the State Troopers take any photo's at the scene.
John Daily relied soley on information provided by Officer Delane Baldwin and Sergeant Jim
Wilson. Its obvious, after reading his testimony, that he has no clue as to
where the collision occurred. Mr. Bommer, defendants attorney, revealed to
Mr. Daily that the Bronco grazed the snow bank prior to the collision. Who's
the reconstructionist here?? Mr. Bommer just dropped a BOMBY on our expert.
CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS!!!!!! And they got away with it to boot. Where are the
photo's with the transmission fluid and gouge marks on the highway?? You are
going to have to PROVE it sooner or latter.
Also, 1 hour after the collision occurred, the road at browns curve was
scrapped and sanded by the Transportation Department of Highways for public
safty reasons while the bodies of Conley and Ollie lay on the side of the
road. A drinking driver killed two boys at this site, and the crime scene
was then contaminated and useless to any investigation. Any evidence on the
road was destroyed and should not be even brought into a court of law. And
guess who works for the Transportation Department of Highways? Darrell
Beck's father! Interesting isn't it. Trooper James Wilson also stated that
he had seen Darrell Beck out socially.
Why in this unrelated accident was the road closed for over 7 hours when
there wasn't even a fatality? Why?
The photo's below do not show the vehicles at the scene. Do these photo's
exist? Who has them and where are they?
